Below is a review from epinions.com
About a year ago, I decided I wanted a freezer for those extra bulk items that I bought. I knew that I needed something small because space was limited. I chose the chest type freezer due to space constraints. The Kenmore Manual Frost Chest Freezer seemed perfect.

I have always heard that Kenmore offered good reliable products. This one is no exception. It has held up very well over the year that I have had it.
It is very convenient to have a chest type freezer. It fits almost anywhere and the capacity is really nice. I often buy bulk frozen foods and meats and my regular freezer fills up really quickly.
The only disadvantage to this freezer is that it is a manual defrost. I have only had to defrost it once. The lid seals really well, keeping out the moisture, thus ice and frost doesn't accumulate very fast. It also didn't take very long to defrost. Once I unplugged it, it was cleared out within 2 hours without much mess.
I love the fact that it has a lock with a key too. This prevents unwanted access to the freezer, not to mention preventing accidents especially with children. I also had my freezer on my back porch for awhile and was worried that someone might try to get into it. With it being locked up tight, I didn't have to worry about prowlers.
I purchased this freezer at my local Sears store for $179.00, it was on sale, which is the reason I chose this one.
I think in retrospect, I wish I had chosen one that didn't have to be defrosted. Thankfully, I can handle once a year of defrosting.
The size is large enough to store most anything in without it taking up alot of space in your home. You can also place the freezer on a porch in a storage building, anywhere there is an outlet.
There is a limited one year warranty on parts and labor. Although I haven't had to use the warranty, it was nice to know it was there.
As for cleaning, it is really easy to clean. I just use a spray kitchen cleaner. Nothing sticks to the interior or exterior.
I can recommend this freezer if you don't mind defrosting from time to time. Otherwise, choose a frost-free. If I get another one at some point, I will look at the frost free myself.
Thanks for reading.
