Hello, you are bidding on one (1) BRAND NEW, SEALED Kids Smart vocal smoke detector. I own three of these and am selling my extra one for any parent out there that is concerned about their children waking up in a fire. I bought these after watching a special on 20/20 that explained why children don't wake up to a normal "alarm" sound like adults do. Apparently their inner ear isn't developed enough to trigger them to wake up. I didn't believe until I witnessed it first hand. One night I accidentally triggered my home security alarm while opening the back door and the siren went off. I immediately thought that my son was going to wake up in terror hearing this loud alarm. He didn't wake up, the alarm really wasn't enough. This is an important addition to any home and apparently children are used to their parents voice. You can record your own voice with this smoke detector and in case of smoke it will sound it out EXTREMELY LOUD, there is a test button to hear the alarm once you record your voice and I will tell you it's EXTREMELY loud.
